Key responsibilities for the role include:
Curating technical documents for our Practices, such as Bridges, Highways, Pipelines and networks, etc., ensuring their suitability for sharing globally. Curation includes sense checking the content, raising any potential copyright/information security issues, and using our digital workflow to obtain approvalCurating intranet pages by identifying irrelevant content, broken links and webparts, deviation from content standards etc., and supporting the Intranet knowledge specialist with enquiries and the development of editors training, governance, and standards
Supporting the yearly Practice taxonomy review and Practice site creation
Supporting our employees with knowledge-related enquiries
Managing subscriptions for codes and standards
Required:
Degree level or equivalent in relevant subject areaExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Desirable:Qualification in, or working experience of, knowledge curation, knowledge management, library and information services, or related areas
Understanding of engineering consultancy services
Strong competency in using IT-based systemsExcellent listening and interpersonal skills
Ability and enthusiasm to quickly pick up new tools and processes and learn on-the-job
Ability to work using own initiative
Highly organised with ability to prioritise workload
Attention to detail and ability to follow and articulate processes clearly
Flexible and adaptable to project and business needs

Job Profile
As a key member of the Global Knowledge Team, you will be supporting with the review of documents, pages and sites that allow our employees to have access to relevant and up-to-date information to do their job. You might be someone with very little experience in this field but with a keen interest in developing content and knowledge management skills, or you might have a few years of experience in a knowledge administrator role, and you are looking for a position in which you can learn and grow. You will be part of a team of 4 curators and there will be many opportunities to get involved in other knowledge related projects, depending on your enthusiasm, interest and skills.
You have attention to detail, you are organised, you are interested in learning about SharePoint and other technical tools, and you enjoy performing a varied role in knowledge management as part of a team where everyone is encouraged to bring ideas to the table, learn, and develop. We regularly attend knowledge management related conferences, trainings, and share the learning within our team. Our team is spread across the UK, Czechia and Hungary, so we mainly work remotely (2 days from the closest office to you and three days from home), but we also bring the team together a couple of times a year.
